For the first time, puren gmbh present their product line of polyurethane insulation and construction materials for vehicle superstructures at the IAA Nutzfahrzeuge. The company from lake Constance is no newcomer to this sector having already cooperated for several decades with well-known companies from the automotive industry.
This year, puren gmbh from Überlingen make their debut at the IAA Nutzfahrzeuge exhibition in Hanover with their vehicle construction product line composed of insulation, construction and recycling materials based on polyurethane rigid foam. The puren group of companies with their headquarters located at lake Constance are one of the leading suppliers in Europe for PUR/PIR-rigid foam products and in no way new to the sector but rather look back at being in business with numerous vehicle manufacturers and suppliers for more than 35 years.
puren PUR, PIR or pre-polymer rigid foams, available in various densities, excel especially because of their outstanding insulating factor in addition to a high mechanical stability and low specific weight. puren rigid foams in form of panels, segments or CNC-cut shapes used as superstructures of refrigerated vehicles or tanker trailers offer optimised thermal insulation with a minimum of thickness. puren materials are also processed into sandwich elements or vehicle superstructures, for example with GFK- or metal coatings. Campers, trailers, commercial / special utility vehicles, ambulances / emergency vehicles or DHL delivery vehicles of Deutsche Post World Net, all have special superstructures manufactured from puren materials. And for each vehicle type, the PUR-/PIR- or pre-polymer foams are modified and adapted to meet the respective individual requirement profile.
For Temperatures from –196 to +200 Degrees Celsius
puren construction insulation materials are designed for „extreme“ temperatures above and below zero (Celsius). puren CT is a special PUR rigid foam to withstand continuous temperature strain down to –196 degrees Celsius (e.g. for LNG tanks). puren HT, a special high temperature rigid foam, provides lasting insulation for containers for mastic asphalt or other „hot“ media up to +200 degrees Celsius. These products too are offered in form of panels in various dimensions and thicknesses and also as segments or form parts.
purenit Construction Material
When insulating material with a particularly high mechanical strength, insensitivity to moisture and easily reworkable is called for, then purenit products made by puren come are called for. purenit is a recycling material similar to word and based on rigid polyurethane foam, available for example as panels, profiles or strips for use in vehicle superstructures. purenit does not expand under humid conditions , does not rot and displays good mechanical properties.
The Project of the „Singing Commercial Vehicle Wall“
The puren exhibition booth in Hall 24 (D01) also shows you news about „commercial vehicles of the future“. puren further present their so-called purSonic sound technology. A special PUR compound, only 7 mm thick, makes for „invisible“ loudspeakers, which – among others - may be integrated into vehicle walls. At the moment, purSonic sound boards are used in private, public or commercial buildings. Here, the sound boards are hidden built into walls and ceilings and can be clad with nearly all types of wall covering (wallpaper, plaster, veneer panels, metal, tiles, marble etc.). This unique purSonic technology is presented in form of a purMedia presentation system at our booth.
